CIVIL ENGINEERING
The BMS College of Engineering was founded in 1946, and one of the three initial branches was the department of civil engineering. Academic autonomy status was given to the UG programs by VTU in 2008. In the areas of environmental engineering, transportation engineering, and technology, the department offers three PG programs.
The national board of accreditation in India awarded six years of accreditation in 2014 in recognition of academic achievements under the Washington Agreement (Tier 1). COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING
The computer science and engineering department was founded in 1983. NBA has accredited the department’s undergraduate curriculum. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

FOR GENERAL CANDIDATES: To be eligible to pursue undergraduate programs, a candidate must have passed the 12th grade with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of the aggregate marks in physics and mathematics, which are required subjects, as well as chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, and electronics, which are optional subjects (BE).
